ARSC Hacks Blog

Keeping you updated on the Wii and DS homebrew scene! And now the DSi!

I've recently just set up my first checking account at my local bank and I've also made a PayPal account. If you've visited the site lately you might have noticed a new 'Donate' PayPal button. Yes, I've decided that I need help with maintaining the site's hosting and server fees and I am open to donations. Anything is fine, but keep in mind I chose to do this than spam Google Ads everywhere. If all goes well I will never have to end up doing that. If not, then I might consider the option in the future for the sake of keeping the site online. That's pretty much it on the update. I'm working on my college portfolio at the moment for web/graphic design so I'm pretty busy. However, I am working on a personal site that will feature my Curriculum Vitae/Resume and online portfolio just so you know. I guess I will release the link in the future, perhaps.

Oh yes, here's the button ;)
Until next time,

Hey guys! I made a special video to commemorate reaching the milestone of 5000 subscribers! To thank you my subscribers I'm going to have a giveaway

So many people have wanted a bannerbomb-like exploit for the latest Wii version. Until now, the only way you could get the Homebrew Channel was through retail games that you had to either own, buy, or rent. No longer! Now you just need an SD card like the good old days. Likely, I have released a tutorial on this exploit:

So crediar managed to exploit the Wii Message Board. This allows you to hack your Wii without the use of any games (ex; lego indiana jones, lego blahhhh)
The exploit hasn't been released yet, and I think he's going to wait until Skyward Sword is released. Since Nintendo will probably issue another update along with that game. Anyways, video proof below:

As always, I will have a fresh new tutorial once this exploit is released. :)

YEAH! I'm impressed at how I managed to edit this is only 2 days... :D
Well check out the new video below. Also! Be sure to check out a new collab channel that I'm in, it's called AuroraAlliance and I'll be uploading gameplay (mostly RPG stuff) regularly :)

How to get FREE WiiWare, Virtual Console, and Custom Channels

I've just finished redesigning the iPod/iPhone hacking site. Check it out here:
Also, if you didn't know the letters stand for: Everything Apple Tech Reviews. Anyway, I'm going to make some new videos for that channel and also redesign this blog since I'm getting tired of the same old colors. :P
P.S. Check out the new guide on the site:

and if you missed the last video since I didn't make a post about it:

I did some pretty beast editing in both, and the background music is sexy. So check them out if anything for those reasions. xD

A video tutorial on using Bathaxx, yet another Wii exploit that allows you to load a boot.elf file from the root of your SD card. This allows you to install the Homebrew Channel, a channel that opens a window of possibilities for your Wii. Click here to watch the video!
I have to say, this is one of my most well edited and organized video I've put together. SO, even if you know how to do this, I recommend watching it for the soundtrack as well as the editing. Who knows, maybe if you're interested, I'll give you some tips/hints for your own videos.

I've launched a new site on ARSC. Below you will find screenshots of the PC and iPod/iPhone version. I myself coded every page of both. For now I'll be hosting both. You can find more info about the writer/reviewer on the "about" pages of both versions of the site. :) I'll still be maintaining the main site as well as the Jailbreak page of the new site.

I am working on an iPod/iPhone site for ARSC Hacks and EA Tech Reviews (friend). I would like some beta testers that have an iPhone or iPod Touch or iPad. If you have any of these devices, comment on this post or e-mail me at

Thank you for your support!

This exploit works on the original Lego Star Wars game as well as the newer (1.01) release (NTSC and PAL) all through one masterfully crafted save.

January 28, 2011: Nintendo removed Sudoku from the EUR/AU and USA DSi Shop. At the time of the USA Sudoku removal, there was 234 injection requests from the client software, and 1684 client software release archive downloads. The download/request ratio is large because there was several downloads per minute, while each user took several minutes to buy Sudoku and inject Sudokuhax, thus there was one injection request every couple minutes.
February 2, 2011: At the time of this writing, Nintendo is in the process of releasing the Sudoku patch. Only a new TMD is available, the old/new content isn’t available currently. And at this time when trying access the Sudoku page from DSi Shop “Account activity”, it displays an error saying this software was removed due to certain circumstances.

Nintendo, it pisses me off when you do this. How many people out there actually know that you can hack a DSi? Or even a Wii? All the people that I talk to at school and such no NOTHING about it. What are the odds that those people will use it for PIRACY like you so much fear? Because you want money that you can't get enough of? With the release of the 3DS you'll even have more money. I hate big corporations that do that. Nintendo probably isn't even going to read this, but I just wanted to state my opinions.
Anyways, as I read in blasty's tweet, there will most likely be a new DSi mode exploit coming. There's no stopping hackers.

Team Twiizers and lewurm have released their new Exploit called Bathaxx. As with most other exploits, it works with a hacked save file, this time for the game LEGO Batman.

Official Website:

Team Twiizers have just posted a DSi mode DSiWare exploit. It loads NDS binaries directly from the internal SD card slot.

Team Twiizers says:

"As you may remember we started looking at the DSi about two years ago. Despite some early attempts using savegame hacks for hybrid card games we eventually resorted to more complex attacks that involved soldering many wires to tiny points on the PCB to be able to trace and modify the RAM. However, doing this is not feasible for the average homebrew user so we used the knowledge we gained through these complicated attacks to get more information about the whole system which allowed us to experiment with DSiWare games in the end. We also learned how to create savegames so we can now do what we did three years ago with the Wii: Savegame hacks!"

I've been working on my website lately and I've made some improvements to the sidebar, the footer, and the main logo. I've also organized things more and I hope you guys like it. I'll keep improving it still since I'm not finished and I will also be writing DS Flashcart reviews and tutorials.
I'd like to thank the people that "Like" my facebook fan page. I just reached 100+ fans! :)
